Main Mood Board: Masthead mood board: Here, I have shown what techniques I have planned to use while creating the masthead: I have explained my choices of fonts, the title itself, the colour scheme, and what I chose to include in my final masthead design. I decided to use the name 'tempo', as it is simplistic and is a synonym for music (this is fitting because the magazine is rhythm game based. I played around with several fonts that I believed would fit the theme of the magazine, and as a result I chose Dezire Stacked, as I liked the repeat effect - I have decided to have the model stand in front of the text (with masking) and I believe that it will be fitting for a magazine front cover. For my final masthead design, I used several effects on a mobile editing app - Alight Motion and. Ibis Paint X. I used distortion effects such as fractal warp and displacement map to give it a VHS theme. To add to this theme, I used colorising effects such as RGB split and made a mask with...

Codes and Conventions of a magazine: In this report, I will be discussing the codes of conventions of industry magazines. My magazine, Streetlight Haze, including all of its features and assets follows the main conventions of traditional magazines while still coming across as niche and unique. In relation to this theory, my magazine follows the same conventions of video game and music magazines that already exist: However, tp[his time, I am creating my magazine based on a rhythm game that has not been done before. This is my masthead for my Streetlight Haze magazine. The masthead is the brand name of my magazine, TEMPO. I decided to choose this name because it clearly states the theme of my magazine, which is a music / rhythm game magazine. I h...

LO1: Be able to create a proposal with sample materials for an original media product to a client brief. LO1 Proposal (pass and merit) Purpose, Form and Genre: The purpose of my magazine, "TEMPO", is mainly to entertain and inform consumers. In terms of form, my magazine will be relatively global, as it will target fans of the game from what the magazine is based on. In terms of genre, my magazine will be a mix of themes: music, gaming (rhythm games). The overall aim of this magazine is to appeal to fans of rhythm games (more specifically, it targets fans of the game Friday Night Funkin') as the entire magazine will be rhythm game themed. Because of the popularity Friday Night Funkin' gained over the last few years, I believe that having the magazine based off this game would attract many fans and may even spark interest in video game fans that play games outside of rhythm games. Because of its appeal to younger people, the magazine will mostly target young teenagers ...
